What is a "take & bake" pizza store? What exactly am I buying? |
|
You are buying a raw, uncooked
(except the sausage) pizza. The dough is freshly made, but completely
uncooked. You get the pizza wrapped in plastic on a special cardboard
'baking pan'. The pizza should be kept refrigerated until it is baked.
Be careful when transporting the pizza because neither the pizza crust
(uncooked dough) nor the cardboard "baking pan" it comes on are rigid.
Without support from the bottom, you could have a very unpleasant mess. |
|
Can I freeze the pizza when I get it home and bake it next week? |
|
I'm not sure. It might lose some flavor, but I suppose
it’d be OK. I'm really just trying to show Bill Swanson the difference between a
good, informative FAQ and a bunch of self-flattering propaganda! |
|
How long does it take for Papa Murphy's to make me a large pizza? |
|
It
really only takes about 5 minutes. It is made by hand. They roll out dough
spread sauce on it, then load toppings. |
|
How much does it cost. Is it worth it? |
|
Their large pizza costs about $12.
Is it worth it? You better believe it is! They throw the toppings on with a front-end
loader. I'm not a Papa Murphy's employee. I'm a computer programmer. If you know
anything at all about computer programmers, you know that we eat a LOT of pizza!
I consider myself somewhat of an aficionado when it comes to pizza and I am compelled
to report, with no reservations whatsoever, that this is as good or better than the best
pizza I have ever enjoyed! You want good pizza? This is as good as it gets. |
